Sugartalker | How To Impress A Woman (feat. Drew) | CD Baby

Well, I never thought I would say it but a song I composed is on CD Baby, iTunes and quite a few more like Amazon are coming. This is pretty exciting for me. I mean, ultimately I create because I enjoy the process and sharing the finished product but it is exciting to publish a creation and actually see it "out there".

This song started by me composing an instrumental that I like the sound of. When I completed the basic track, I thought it was kind of cool but didn't really know what to do with it. I'm not a rapper after all but while I was creating it, I was watching the DREWnetwork video entitled "How To Impress Women" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKfkA3mEUOc and I enjoy Drew's speaking style. He sounds like a pro news anchor to me. I remember a song from the 80s that had samples of news reports and George Bush Sr. saying "Read my lips". I can't remember what the name of that song is or who the artist is but working on this track and hearing Drew's video made me wonder if I could somehow do something similar. It took a while and a lot of playing around but I like what it turned into.

Publishing the song on CD Baby, iTunes etc really only came about because I received a lot of emails asking me to make it available so I looked into it and made it happen. At this point it's really nothing more than an experiment. It'll be interesting to see where it goes.
